We are looking for a seasoned Director of Quality Engineering to join the team in either San Francisco or New York.  The Director of Quality Engineering will oversee all things quality related at Percolate and report to the Head of Engineering.  Percolate takes the development of high quality software product seriously and are looking for someone who shares our passion for building companies the right way.  


  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline required.
  • Hands on, startup/growth experience
  • Expertise in building and ensuring quality of multi-tenant SaaS-based systems, and service-oriented architectures.
  • Experience rolling out QA programs within agile fast paced, continuous deployment environments
  • History and experience driving improved Quality at scale.
  • Minimum 10 years experience of Quality Engineering experience and 3+ years in senior management positions
  • Have built QA programs inside other organizations, not just maintained existing ones
  • Excellent understanding of data structures, algorithms, software engineering design patterns and principles.

  • Own the strategy for driving a quality mindset in and across the organization.
  • Develop, execute, and manage an effective QA Engineering program that delivers world software product
  • Implement processes and best practices for the management of quality.
  • Provide oversight over various test artifacts including staying on top of all important issues, driving issues to resolution and keeping everyone aware of QA status.  
  • Manage QA coverage of multiple web, API, data, mobile and service oriented architecture based projects.
  • Work with different teams to collect necessary information to assure the QA coverage, and also provide feedback on quality issues.  
  • Assess the quality risk of projects going out the door.  
  • Assess the status of the release, and help make sure that the release goes out on time with high quality level.
  • Be the architect, designer, and builder of this team -- very clearly being able to recruit, grow and retain top talent.  
  • Partner with product and engineering leaders to establish clear quality metrics at every stage
  • Drive transparency and visibility of key quality data
  • Create and support test dashboards/reports.
